AYR employs a three-person mobile team to bring services to youth living on the streets, including information on how to connect with housing, case management, emergency shelter and other services they might need.
Throughout South King County cities from Renton to Fife our Street Outreach team frequents skate parks, transit centers, libraries and parks, any place where homeless youth gather.
PROYouth Case Management
Two full-time case managers are available to work with homeless or unstably housed youth, ages 15-22. The team works to connect youth to housing, medical care, mental health counseling, educational pursuits and basic needs.
Each young person has a treatment plan tailored to their specific need with the goal of getting them off the streets and into a more stable situation as quickly as possible.
Commercially Sexually Exploited Children (CSEC)
CSEC is part of a larger network of prevention aimed at creating a safety net of services for youth who are looking to get out of "the life."
A full-time staff is available 24/7 to respond to calls related to young victims of human trafficking. AYR works with law enforcement, the juvenile justice system and the State's human service department to address the homeless population's unique needs.
Family Engagement Case Management
Is your family in crisis, has your child run away, are you interested in getting the child the services s/he need long-term?
YouthCare, Friends of Youth and Auburn Youth Resources have come together to create the Youth and Family Connection Network! Our role is to partner with families who are struggling and help them to reunify OR stabilze through intensive case management. The goal is to work with families for six months, but clients can be enrolled longer on a case-by-case basis.
We work on many goals to stabilize youth and connect families to resources including, but not limited to, housing, employment, education, mental health, chemical dependency, etc. We can do things like home visits, family mediation, meeting with a youth in the community, transporting to appointments, resume building and much more.
Family Engagement Case Management serves young adults ages 12 - 25 who live within King County. An adult and the youth must be interested in services to enroll.

National Safe Place, King County
AYR, in partnership with Friends of Youth and Youth Care, operates a county-wide program that connects with at-risk youth to place them back at home or in a shelter until a safety plan can be created.
Youth can walk into any Safe Place location, board a Metro bus or call/text the Safe Place number and a staff member will answer and respond 24/7. Within 45 minutes of the call, staff will assist the youth in person, and help them either return home (when appropriate) or assist with accessing shelter or other services.
